Hello from a NOOB in the northeast

Hello, long time lurker, first time poster.

I'm into cars and bikes and I'm fascinated by restoration and metal work and I have an overwhelming urge to start making things.

The first thing I did when I left school was a GNVQ in Engineering so I've had a taste of sheet metal, fabrication and most types of welding and cutting. But...that was over ten years ago and I've done nothing since.

I'm currently a self employed photographer wishing I'd stuck with something more practical and got a proper trade. I want to start experimenting as soon as I can. Just not sure of the best route into it.

Anyway, I'll hang around admiring the quality of the work on show and asking simple questions for now.

There's my profile picture sorted out! That was my Cosworth powered Capri that I owned a while ago. I'm a big Classic Ford fan. Looking forward to another project.
