Hello from Bedfordshire

Hi guys and gals,

Welder/sheet metal fabricator for 6 years. MIG and TIG steel, stainless and ally; MMA outside of work.

Spent a couple of years stock car racing, most of which was spent welding up mine and my mates' cars.

Now spend my 'spare' time looking after a fleet of Land Rover fire appliances. Have just finished an 18 month restoration of a 1982 fire appliance.

Look forward to reading up other member's projects and posting up my own next time I get my teeth into something juicy.

Thanks Robotstar5, is that a Land Rover you own yourself? Been to Castle Bromwich for some sitework and had a look around their fire station one day. Seemed rude not to as I had to keep visiting them for hot work permits.

Here's three out of the four Land Rovers that I currently look after, the fourth is owned privately.

I spent about 3 weeks going back and forth to the Jaguar factory to do some site work, was getting up about 4.30am and getting back home 9.00pm, couldn't be doing that everyday
