Hello from Denmark!

Hello everyone. Congratulations on a great site. A brief introduction: I live in Denmark, and I trained/apprenticed as a smith a number of years ago and worked in the machine/welding business. Have done a lot of MIG and ARC welding and a little TIG and some Oxy/Acetylene welding too. (And a great deal of blacksmithing, but that is perhaps not relevant to this forum?) Doing something completely different today, though.

I have never done automotive thin plate repair, but hope to learn something from this site!

Welcome again. A load of people here are interested in black(iron)smithing too. Seems really satifying to do things the old fashioned way with a fire and anvil rather than buying stuff the Chinese have made. Don't worry about staying totally on the welding topic - nobody else does.

Thin plate is mostly what I seem to do myself all the time. Have you got a car project on the go?

Malcolm: regarding car project, well not really at big project yet. As my Renault 19 gets older and older I guess it's sort of turning into a project. For the moment some relatively minor(?!) rusting etc.
