This site is great - almost too much information!
I have just got my hands on a secondhand Cebora 130 Pocket jobby to get practicing. Welding is something I have wanted to learn for a while now and had the good fortune to go on a days welding and panelbeating course a few weeks ago and, well, that was that. The Cebora has been sitting for a while so will be giving it a good going over next weekend, and have already ordered some new parts, which I hope will help it run smoothly. Also got a new mask on order, thanks for the tips I got whilst lurking on here. The plan it to do some bodywork repairs - but not until I have had a good amount of practice first. I am more nervous about cutting the car in the first place than the welding, but gotta start somewhere.
Quick question to start - does anyone use an RCD plug on their welder? I need to put a new plug on this one and wondered if a 13 amp RCD would make sense. Thanks in advance.
Lots to learn - have some scrap metal sitting in the garage already so am itching to get at it.
Cheers for all the help so far - I am sure I'll need more!
