Hi all,
What a great site this is, I have been welding in the motor trade since 1969 but I never had a formal lesson in Oxy-Acetylene or MIG welding, I just picked it up as I went along. I used to use an old 3 phase Kemmpi but when I moved to where I now live I had to forget about 3 phase and as I wanted to get out from under the thumb of BOC I bought a new SIP Migmate 150G gasless, about ten years ago... big mistake but I soldier on and as I do most of my welding out in the open and it's hellish windy here the gasless idea is not so bad.
At the moment my welding project is a series 3 Land Rover, just fitted a new rear cross-member. I learned about this site from Land Rover UK forum and I see at least one fellow member here, Hi Biosbill! (Extreedoc here).
That's enough waffle, see you on the forum.
John
