Hi Everybody. I have owned a gasless mig welder for over a year. Not used it yet. Wanted to do a course first. Have just finished City and Guilds Introductery course level 1. I know that I can weld now.
My initial motivation to get involved was an old Golf Mk 1 that seemed to need welding every year to get through the MOT. When the last failure resulted in a £500 estimate. I thought its time to learn to weld my self, then I can keep the Golf or any old car on the road for ever. I don't like new cars.
My first question to anyone who can help. Any problem or reason against me using offcuts from on old fridge to use as new replacement body patches in an old car?
