Hi guys, browsed around a couple of welding forums and thought this one looks like a good one
I am a complete newb when it comes to welding, I have never used one before, I was a bit unlucky with the latest car I brought and has unfortunatly turned out to be a complete rust bucket.
I cannot afford to pay someone else to weld it up for me as the repairs are going to be extensive.
So it looks like I am going to have to give myself a crash course in welding and hopefully you guys may be able to help me out along the way.

Up this end of the world we tend to think your Oz cars should not rust with all the sunshine we see you getting on the TV ...must be wetter than I thought

Cause everyone lives close to the coast - salty air is a killer for rust.
Spent 1st 25 years of my life over there and had poor young guy cars that would rust like mad!

I agree with you on the salty air, we are a few km to the sea and the wind blows straight towards us carrying fine droplets of salt laden misty air, which corrodes every thing not protected, fences, cars, sheds and so forth
