Hi.I picked up a Millermatic 135 a little while back.I've done alot of stick welding,never much mig.I'm here to get some tips and project ideas,first of which will be a cheap cart.I picked up a couple bed frames at the flea market to start.I'll probably build a nicer one later on.I just want to get the welder off the floor and my garage organized.I'd like to get good enough to do a little motorcycle frame work.

Hi, welcome to the forum, do you have an xs650 bike or does it refer to something else? just asking as I had one for a few years.

Bed frames are a pain. Some kind of hardened steel. You'll need some carbide drill bits to drill holes.

I used them often as I picked up 4 on trash days while walking the dog.

I bought my Clarke to fix up an old GPz550 with some broken frame brackets. I have been doing a lot from there.

Next project could be a motorcycle stand. I built one here out of conduit.

Thanks.Yes,I have a 77 xs650 project,as well as a few others.And,I know about bed frame steel,but I got them for a buck apeice.I watch the trash for metal also.Maybe I should walk the dogs instead of letting them run loose in the back yard.My welder is used by BTW.
