If I was looking for a stick welder I would be searching for a used but looked after oil cooled Oxford or Bantam or similar. Let us know what you end up with and the work you are intending to do.

X xandyx New Member Messages 7 Jun 10, 2011 #3 hi there! i learned to weld with a stick welder, but i'm going got get a mig welder, as i plan to do some body work and strengthen my chassi legs. i own a vw polo g40 and they are common to get chassi stress cracks, so we will had some strength. the machine that i'm going to buy, will be a clarke 160tm. think it the best i can get for a low price. cheers
