Hi to all. I have been browsing this site/forum for a while now using nothing more than an old nokia mobile phone just upgraded to A Sony ericsson k800I with improved web access so am able to join. Did a bit of sticking things together a few years back with a sip gasless but could only "weld" on the bench couldn't make anything stick on car bodywork so gave up for a while just bought a clarke 151te ready to give proper welding a go hopefully be able to keep to many bits of my car falling off.
Note to malcolm I just love your flying custardmobile and will wave next time your around station rd lol

Haven't seen any Austin Maxis around here. Guessing yours is awaiting welding. There are a few oddballs around - Bromham is packed full of Morris Minors and elderly Fords, and I stopped in traffic to chat with a Hillman Imp owner somewhere in the centre of Bedford.

I guess that image verification thing must get in the way of mobile phone registration on the forum. I'd not realised anyone was using mobiles to look at the forum.

The 151TE with an argon/CO2 mix should be a whole lot nicer than gasless.

HI Malcolm the maxi IS on the road :-o if you turn your head to the left when passing the second road on left after mm coop you should see a mainly gold contraption with red
rear arches lol the verification was a piece of madeira on the new phone as for the gassless i wouldn't recommend to any one for learning just hope the 151te is easier hope to be using sealy refillable 1kg CO2 Argon which im told is now available. anyway off to read the tutorials again. TTFN

Hi Malcolm, have Vauxhall still got their proving ground at Millbrook?, spent many an hour there providing emergency medical cover for car rallies and endurance / record attempts.

Millbrook is still owned by GM but operates as an independant proving ground so there's all sorts going on. That's where I'm based, though working for an independant company that rents a bit of space there.
