Hi my name is paul and have been hovering around in the background reading and enjoying this forum for the last 18 months or so, and have found it very educational. I am not involved in metalwork or welding in my day job but enjoy the hobby aspect of it, my passion being the restoration and running of classic british motorcycles(tritons, tribsa etc in fact caferacers in general) also classic minis, 2 complete restorations to date hence my interest in welding they do tend to attract the metal worm!
Over the festive season "santa" gave me a new welder(160tm clarke) which I am well chuffed with, nice and portable but I'll probably miss the euro torch flexability and length of my old machine.
My old welder is a SIP IDEAL 150 and although old and had loads use it still works well with all the spot/stitch/burnback controls working as they should its just a little on the large side for my garage so if I may ask a question do you guys think it is worth me trying to sell this machine, it just seems to good to scrap it is complete with wire, regs for co2 and for argon plus empty pub co2 bottle and auto mask(cheapy). If so does any body have any idea what I should ask for it. Sorry if its a long post its the first time I've ever posted on a forum of any kind!! thanks Paul
