Hi
I am Thomas, hope you are all very well. I am from Northen Ireland. I am nearly 19 years of age. I have been around an engineering enviroment since i could walk. i am also lucky eneough to have access to many machines tools and equipment. My first welding encounter was MMA i can remember getting quite worked up as the rod kept sticking but after a while i got my technique sorted. I then did some MIG which i also enjoyed. After school i decided to do an engineering course which had a practical side to it. Here i was shown how to weld correctly with MMA and MiG also i did a little stainless MMA. i have a very keen interest in motorsport ( this is indeed how i came across this forum, while researching seam welding and chassis stiffening) i plan to go to a night class in september. here i want to learn how to TIG and perhaps Oxy Acetlyne ( as i have the cyclinders too) with the intention of making stainless steel exhaust systems and manifolds. If i can do it i will then purchase a TIG welder. I also want to improve my MIG welding of thin metal.
Blimey i got abit carried away didnt I? anyway hello
also the guy who wrote the tutorials and diy guides a big thank-you for taking the time.
Regards Thomas
