Hello, Great site, good advice.

Thanks I've learnt a lot from the site and I've only been browsing so far, well apart from 2 posts.
I think I recognise someone from another forum? I'm sure he'll comment if it's him.

Looking to find a second hand mig to get me started and if I find I can get on with it I'll then get serious about a 'proper' welder.

I'm toying with the idea of welding Stainless Steel and most folks I have mentioned this to say TIG, but have seen a few posts here that are using MIG.

So I'll get over where I should be and ask the question there.

Thought it was you, I mean there can't be two Hitches? Can there?
Not so much busy as recovering from a really pulled back just before Xmas.
Not had anything to say on TT and let's face it there's nothing needs to be said on UHM that won't be said by God All Mighty.
Nice to hear from you again, this appears a great site full of enthusiasm, remind me of another forum I used to frequent.

I must admit, i have taken a bit of a backseat from both as of late.
I think i remember you mentioning your back now you come to mention it.

Theres loads of enthusiasm here, and theres not really a 'God almighty' character either...Unless you mean Malcolm (the forum owner!) but hes nothing like who you are talking about Of course, you also have Rtbcomp, Wozzah and myself to watch over goings on aswell. Hopefully, anything a bit firery, we keep our eyes on...closely

Just got some really crap news which will put my welding plans on hold, van has eaten 6th gear completely
It's all over the magnet, so looks like a recon gearbox plus fitting plus clutch.

Is there a 'roll around in excruciating wallet pain' smiley anywhere? I need one NOW!

I'm in Thornton Cleveleys (near Fleetwood).
The van is a Trafic LWB, just bought it 2 months ago (new to me) was a good buy, at the time.
