hello,
my names marc, 37 been working heavy industry for 18years time served only using stick(repair work) plate and some pipe.Going to be branching out on the tig side so will be asking loads in the future also looking for a good tig set for the house.

Stick welder eh? You really should check out Flange Jockey's thread then! It's a feast for a welders eye!

I'm a mig fab welder myself but i'm trying at the mo to get my company to allow me to do tig classes too....not easy tho!

hi mate had a look at that thread must say awesome, in the same boat in work buddy i myself was thinking of getting them to do a couse but told me no need for itI've been looking at couses myself but they are what i did when i was an apprentice(many moons ago).Looking to buy a tig for the house/garage and practice myself then try a test.

Yeah! that does sound clever! i wonder if i could get away with that too?
But for now i'll just keep annoying my bosses about it! it would be better if i could make them pay the classes for me!
