Hello , I'm new too

Hello everyone,
Aftermuch browsing and information gathering I thought it was time to join and say hello.

I am slowly starting a Triumph Stag restoration and when I spoke to a friend who owns a body repair business he told me to "get a MIG welder and have a go yourself ".

So that's what I am planning to do.

It is a very informative site but I can't guarantee I won't post several daft questions.

Hi Ken, you'll find lots of good stuff here.

I restored a stag many years ago, they're a good old beats to work on, as long as they're not rusted to hell!!!!!

Yes , the Stag is still on it's original engine - 64000 miles but not a lot of usage in the last 10 yrs.

Quite a bit to weld but I have just tried the welder for the first time on a piece of scrap metal.I think I have a lot of practise to get in before I can start on the car .
