I'm restoring my Sierra Cosworth and found a small hole which needs repairing, and always wanted to give welding a bash (have only had a small 15min play so far) so went out and bought a little diy welder; after all i'm certain to need to do more in the future, lol!

I don't really know much about welding and came across this very helpful-looking site... so here I am!!!

When you're starting out with a MIG for the first time then the tutorials are a great place to start the learning process: & loads of practice.

Thanks for the welcome! Here's a pic of when I first got it as a rolling shell... it's come a long way since but still a long way off completion!

Yep i've had a good look through the tutorials; very helpful for a beginner!

Wow, that looks really clean. Doesn't look like it needs much welding though, or are you just showing the 'pretty side'?

That shell looks good but do you have a donor car for the parts?
Authenticity would be my concern as they're getting quite rare now and, I'd imagine, worth very good money.
Great cars though, always wanted one, maybe some day.
