I've been on here a few times in the past.
My name is Tom, Tom Reid.
I'm a Jock Baskett currently located in Englandshire with the task of converting as many English people to Jockanese, lol.
I'm into cars, welding them, converting them, and rallying them.
I wouldn't describe myself as a fabricator, but i have a go at it, I prefer to call it function over form.

Hello Tom and welcome. What do you convert the cars in to? Do you mean the fuel conversion?

Questions?, as in, how do I weld?, what kind of welder should I buy?, how much to convert my Nova to a rwd firebreathing monster? will they do, lol.
mart, Iv'e converted a few cars over the years, as in engine, axle, rollcage fitting and suspension swaps, strengthening of bodyshells, that kind of stuff.

Took half the chassis leg out to give it more room for future maintanance, it had a redtop running bike carbs fitted.

The trouble with Nova's is that the engine sits too close in my opinion to to the o/s chassis leg to be able to change cam belt/water pump, most folk just fit the engine with new belt and pump before the installation, forgeting about future changes/problems that you will get.

You seem quite competent Tom, certainly in respect of the motors. It could be myself & others on here that are ultimately asking you the questions on that topic (only 30 miles away too-what part of Notts?)
