I'm Andy, based in Rotherham.
I'm in the middle of restoring a 1978 mini clubman. If I ever finish it, it will be light weight and supercharged. Mainly for road use but a little bit of track and drag use from time to time. I've been spending a fair amount of time re-doing a lot of the work I did to the shell when I first got it as it just wasn't good enough. It was the first car I had welded, so I just look on it as learning.
I also co-own a Metro Van with a friend. I know they're crap, but ours is a little different. We picked it up from London and towed it home as a test failure just needing a few patches. Then it fell apart... It took me 3 months to weld it up and not to a very high standard as I wasn't very experienced at that point. The previous owner painted it in yellow hamerite for some reason. It currently has a red bonnet, black doors and boot, red front bumper, black rear bumper, red front bumper, red mirrors and black turbo body kit. It stands out. Under the bonnet it's got a 150BHP Turbo engine. It runs the 1/4 mile in 14.6 seconds and is flat out at just over 120MPH. It surprises plenty of people, most just don't expect it to be a scooby killer
