Hi folks, mt name is Rob. I am from Edinburgh Scotland.

I am pretty new to welding and have joined a few bits of metal together with a mig but now want to learn to be better at it!

I currently have a SIP Migmate 105 that I inherited from a friend. It is currently in non working condition and I am trying to find out wether it is worth fixing or if I should just get a replacement!

I've read a few topics and seen that Sip get a bit of stick lol! It won't be used often and was free so all good

I bought my SIP for £50 and have made it as good as new (probably better).
£30 odd from Weldequip for a new liner and gooseneck.
£17 for a new earth clamp (may not be needed for yours)
£15 of bits from Maplins, plus a spare laptop docking station PSU, to sort out the wirefeed.
