I have a fiesta mk1 that i bought cheap, sold some bits off it and it has paid itself off so decided, at some point im going to have to attempt my first weld on an actual car (as every old ford has rust... i should mention i have lots of scrap metal to practice on, cut from a scrap shell) and i would rather it was a car that owed me nothing and wont be devalued if i make a mess than a 30+ year old immaculate bodyshell that just needs a cracked handbrake mount welding.
so i have had a good read over a few guides and ended up here. i intend to do as the following piece of advice says:
"Don't buy a machine just because it's cheap! Ask on the forum before you buy and post the specifications if you can. We'll point you to feedback from owners of similar welders and give you feedback on whether the specs will suit your application."
