help with adaptor/fitting please

Hi, I have a basic 1.5hp direct drive sealey compressor and sealey hvlp spray gun. These use a threaded fitting.
However today I bought a parkside sand blasting gun from lidl and it comes fitted with a quick release system. I'm not sure of there are different quickrelease couplings but I basically need to source an adaptor that will go from the threaded fitting on my airline to the sandblasting gun.

Was wondering if anyone can help me out please, I am fairly new to all this. Thanks

Is the threaded fitting you refer to the type with a split collar that screws up to clamp 2 flat faces together ?

my local lidl has been selling a range of air tools and they all have hvlp fittings.

The airline from the compressor has what looks like a large nut spinning freely on the end of it basically which screws over the threaded part of the connector on the spraygun. (its a sealey hvlp touch up gun). I would like an adaptor that would go onto the end of the airline and convert it to the quick release that the sandblasting gun has fitted. However there is no mention of a specific name for the quick release. Just referred to as a "quick coupling."

Nathanael, it's a UNI coupling. They're quite common, Screwfix sell the make ones (for the tool) at about £5 for 3, the female ones, for the hose, are £15 for three.

The threaded fittings on most contemporary air tools tends to be 1/4" bsp.
