help with blasting pot

Hey I've got a blasting pot from millar soda blasting, its one which can be used for grit and soda. It hasn't worked perfectly since I had it, one of the hoses split, then the hose to let out all grit was leaking because the ball valve had worn. Now I've managed to fix these Probs I've got another one. It will blast fine for a few mins then all of a sudden the grit will stop coming out of nozzle. Any ideas on what it could be?

Too rich a mixture or damp media are the favourites.

How do you get it to restart?

Sometimes a shake of the pot will work for a bit. Then I just end up taking it apart and cleaning it out. Grit doesn't feel damp at all though, wheres the best place to store it. I've got it in a big tub with a sealed lid.

That's the grit not falling into the mixer.

What sort of media are you using?

It's archifine. Msb recommended it to me . Maybe I'm just not putting enough grit in for it to work properly

as long as the pots over quarter full it will be ok and u dont over regulate the flow. do u use a 3mm blast jet without the pittly ball valve on the end which is rubbish or have u removed it ??

Yes its got the ball valve on the end. Starting to get worn though

its best to take it off and put the nozzle direct on to the blast hose using a jubilee clip and regulate the pot from the supply tap next to the seperator . jet and clip can be seen in background
