It just identifies the + and - also supply voltage.

As a bodge, you could get some red Lucas connectors, attack with side cutters to fit...

from the manual:
Sauro CTF020V8, Phoenix Contact 1714977, or equivalent
Could even shove some bare wires in and use matchsticks to hold them
funny you should say that, I found it with two ferrules stuck in, hence the bent pins.
