Help with fittings for hose repair

I read the recent thread on o-clips/ear clips and have ordered a few as my main hose is getting worse for wear. I think the fittings I use are called 1/4" bsp or euro fittings. I'm just not sure what fitting I need to go into the hose, it was sold as 10mm bore. Or once I cut the old connector off will I be able to reuse the fitting? This is the fitting that is on it (and the embarrassingly knackered hose) -

BSP refers to the thread on the end of the fitting and hose, euro refers to the coupling end of the fitting.

That looks to be 1/4" male BSP on the hose and 1/4" female on the fitting. The fitting should unscrew and can be reused onto the hose tail you linked to.

You should also be able to salvage the hose tail if you cut away the crimp carefully. Obviously it depends on the size of the existing hose as to whether it will fit the new.

The hose is a 25m reel, it's splitting where it's been hanging over the rollers and the rest is in good condition so I want to chop a bit back. Sounds like from what cheb says that I don't need a new fitting and I can just reuse what is inside which would be ideal.
I'd also like to make a few whips for some of my air tools which have a habbit of vibrating off, is the ebay link suitable for that or is there something better I should be using?

Cheaper to get a new hose from screwfix etc and reuse your fittings if still sound.
You'll be forever cutting little bits off...

Ok cut back to good and get a tailend to go into hose couple quid sorted

trim it back , ok , carefully buff off the ferrule so you can re use the middle part , and bung a jubilee clip on it ,,, do it again in another few years
dont over think it ,,, its an air line not a space rocket.

The crimped fitting isn’t directly connected to the hose tail so need to purchase any additional hosetails

Careful buying eBay hose tails...the brass ones can be very thin an break off (ask me how I know!)

It looks like yours will be reuseable.
