Hi All I'm new on the Forum I came across the forum looking for anything which would help me repair my Hydrovane 15.
If anyone would be kind enough to help. This is what happened! last year I was spraying outside using the Hydrovane which is inside my garage after some time outside it came to my attention that I hadn't heard the compressor switch of when reaching pressure, on investigation I found the compressor had sprayed oil up the wall and all over the Comp it was coming out from the rear where the oil cooler is and spraying out via the fan. knowing that I could not fix it straight away I re connected my old piston Comp which I have been using ever since.
Last week I decided I would take a look, suspecting the oil cooler or the o rings in the two connecting tubes. I disconnected the comp from the motor removed the cooler fixing flange then the cooler the o rings on the two connecters looked a bit knackered so I replaced them whilst the cooler was off I blew air in to it with the outlet sealed but could see no leak. Not a great test because air was leaking past my blow gun I will make some test connectors next time.
anyhow I re-assembled every thing turned it on and it appeared ok, this was with the air outlet open so very little pressure in the tank, it seemed ok! when I switched it off a gust of air and oil came out of the same place as before just while it de pressurised, still not knowing where this came from, I topped up the oil and connected up the outlet so that it would build up pressure this time, turned it back on and after not much time air and oil was ******* out again.
Right questions, could it be a seal on the main shaft rather than the cooler? Does anyone have or could recommend where to obtain a manual? Thank you in advance if you can.
All the very best Malc
