help with me wiring up my foot pedal

hiya guys

today i bought a miller foot pedal this is whats inside

im hopin i can fit it to my old philips unit and make it abit more usefull i have no idea what resistance it is or what resistance my machine uses its so old i cant find any info on it

this is the connection i need to make fit together

my question is does anyone know the type of connection on my machine ? or would it be better if i was to fit a miller style connector to the machine to accept the miller pedal ? if so where would i be able to find the female connector ?

The connector on the machine is an odd XLR-type. Probably one of the old obsolete ones.

The Miller is a NEMA-style, 20A, 125V. It may be L6-15P or L6-20P but I think it may be an pre-NEMA version. Originally made by Hubbel. I lost the Hubbel part #.

There are two different size 3-pin twist-lock connectors use dby Miller. Mine came with the wrong size for my Airco.

Check the resistance of the main amp control on your welder. It may be marked. Then measure the one on the footpedal. They should be similar.

Miller pedals come in 250 ohm, 36 ohm, 25 ohm, 15 ohm and 1000 ohm.

You may want to use a connector you can find there.
