Help with new compressor

Hi guys, have bought this compressor off a guy that has retired, compressor is from 1982 but has been looked after well, I’ve attatched a pic, can anyone ID it?

Also I’d like to change the oil, can’t see a “sump plug” anywhere to get the old stuff out.

Seems to run upto 150 psi then cut off, there’s no pressure regulator on it as of yet by the looks of it.

Is that not a plug on the bottom right of the crankcase?
Looks like the pump is being copied nowadays by Fusheng (unless they made it in 1982, of course).

Reading the blurb on that advert, it's possible it might be original. It's probably a good one, at that.

Yeah looks like the bolt, top left corner of the black data plate/sticker.

If you don't want any mess the other option is to suck the oil out of the dipstick hole with vacuum extractor after running it to temperature.

I did that with my Hydrovane when I got, I ran it up to full pressure and ran it for a while to make sure it was warm. I then unplugged to make sure there was no danger of it starting and used the pressure in the tank to power the extractor. Worked a treat.

You’re right going off that description it’s likely that’s who made the motor

I suspect by regulator he means a pressure regulator like one of these:

The pressure switch isn't used to regulate output pressure.

Nah, it's just run in.
It's a relatively big and slow pump, so designed to last for ages.
All it needs is a service - new oil, clean filters, new belts by this time, clean any switch contacts (with paper and IPA, nothing more abrasive than that) and check knock-off pressure, etc, check bolt and union tightness and good to go for another thirty years.
When doing the belts, check the motor for bearing roughness - it's likely ok, but you never know.
