Help with spray guns

Hi I will be doing a full respray on my Scooby and was wondring what spray guns to go for I have a
Wolf Dakota 100 - 14 CFM, 3HP Air Compressor
And don't no what ones to go for can I get some help hear thanks

For a good make gun you wana buy devilbiss or sata but are expensive. If its just a diy job I would buy a sealey or something similar. You want a HVLP and 1.7 mm fluid tip for primer and 1.3/1.4 for top coat. Sprayguns direct is a good website

Ok so I take it the more I spend the beter m8 I was looking at 2 guns I for primer and top and 1 for the clear m8 was looking at spending £100 to £150 but I wood like a top job as I will not have a bad one I am spending a lot of time on my prep work m8 to get it spot on so what guns wood you say are good for me in this price and that are up to doing a good job m8

Instead of spending money start here then use the search facility for anything specific you are unsure about. Buying the most expensive equipment will not get you the best finish if you are an amateur with little or no experience.

Don't worry about the spelling or smart comments mate. A spell checker might help you out though, I think the Firefox browser has one (or there's an add-on for it). Anyway.

A Sealey Gold is a decent budget gun, the different setups (nozzle/needle etc) are cheap to get so I use mine for primers inc hi-build. Cost about £35-£40.

My £200 Iwata is my favourite gun. There's an Iwata AZ-3 for about £80 I think, not used that though.

Devilbiss JGA if you can find a good one (used) that isn't cacked up and needing lots of service parts or a setup change, will be great. I got a nice unused JGA copy for a tenner too.

Loads of other good guns out there.

A few less m8s and you'll be good to go. Text speak is a bit annoying but spelling mistakes are a fact of life Scooby. I've used a Sealey gravity gun for about 6 resprays over the years with cellulose and acrylic and they have come out well. Just keep an eye on the cup and keep some paint in it or or will blob as it runs out. Check your regulator/filter as well, you'll only need about 30 lb pressure with the gun trigger open. Get a cheap 1.8 like this for primer as it sounds like you will be doing some rubbing down and filling and a decent 1.4 for your finish paint.

A cheap JGA repop off ebay will be fine for primer, about £20, then for Topcoat you could get a JGA or if you have a suitable comp a HVLP GTI gun.

It might do it but it will be running constantly I would think, mine has a 200 litre tank which is better.

Your compressor should be fine for the job running a gun that only needs low pressure. My old 3hp SIP has a 50 litre tank but at 30 to 40psi for the gun I use it will fill the tank at the same time as I am spraying without any pressure drop and then cut out till it needs refilling.
