It works, but I'd only use it where I had no alternative.
The result is much, much, tougher to machine than aluminium alloy, which may be an advantage or a disadvantage. One of my machinists was heard to cry "what the **** is that stuff?"
cant imagine any good for filling /building up a damaged cylinder head though, Don't recon you wouldn't get the heat needed or it take to long, is that why you got bored Hitch?
To be fair i was using a very small butane torch so far from ideal. I was using as an experiment, if i need to repair ally ill Tig it. If its die cast, ill throw it away
