I have used AlumiWeld. Similar stuff. Exact same instructions and sample (repair boat propeller.)

Difficult to use as you need to stir the weld pool to break through the oxide layer. Ok for some stuff and I have used it a lot of times.

It works, but I'd only use it where I had no alternative.

The result is much, much, tougher to machine than aluminium alloy, which may be an advantage or a disadvantage. One of my machinists was heard to cry "what the **** is that stuff?"

cant imagine any good for filling /building up a damaged cylinder head though, Don't recon you wouldn't get the heat needed or it take to long, is that why you got bored Hitch?

To be fair i was using a very small butane torch so far from ideal. I was using as an experiment, if i need to repair ally ill Tig it. If its die cast, ill throw it away
