i have 2 24ltr compressors and i was wondering is their a way of hooking them up togethor to enable me to be able to paint.

would it work if i took a hose of each of them to a regulator and then one hose off the regulator to the spray gun???

im new to all this and have just got my garage spotless and ready to be painted in.

That should work, just make sure the maximum pressure isn't greater than the lower of the two safe working pressures and that they switch on at slightly different pressures to avoid mains surges.

It will work.

Best is to connect the tanks together before any regulator. Usually you set one compressor to turn on at a bit lower pressur than the other. That way only one runs when less air is used.

my idea behind to small compressors is due to me using a generator to power them when i turn one on then the other the spike they cause shouldnt shut the generator down.

Hard to say how to connect as we have no idea what ports the compressors have. You can use a Y-cable and hoses. Best done on ports that are before any regulator.

Others have connected them be removing the plug on the tank. If yoiu tie the tanks together, you can use either of the regulator outputs.

hey, the compressor's i have are 16 psi and 4.5 cfm each, would i be right in thinking by hooking both of them up im acheiving 9 cfm? would you be able to paint with them having them both hooked upto a regulator and water trap then to the gun??

I think you mean 8 bar. Normally they are 120-140 PSI for single stage..

you should get near 9 CFM.

cheers, would that be reasonable to paint with? anything bigger and it cuts my generator out as i have a twin 4ft light running on it aswell.
