Name's Brad, if you couldnt tell by my username. Was referred here by a friend whos big into welding, so i could read the tutorials and what not. Seems to be a very good resource, and makes me want to start welding right away.

In the near future, i plan on building gokarts, and eventually full out tube-frame cars. [If you havent seen my thread on one of the other forums]. This is pretty much all im looking to weld, to be honest. Who knows.. maybe once i get into it, i'll find many more uses for it.. but as of right now, thats about it.

Anyway, i'll be frequenting these forums to keep learning! Thanks!

Excecellent! I tried to refer a friend to a website about welding a couple of years ago but couldn't find anything helpful. That's why this place came about. It's a real confidence boost that others in the same situation refer people here.

It's a heck of a project you've got planned, but there's no reason why It's not achieveable (other than time). Should be a lot of fun on the way. Do keep us up to date with ideas, progress and problems - it'll be good to watch the project as you go along.

I absolutely will keep everyone informed. I'll have a complete build site for my own records, and for everyone elses entertainment. It'll have a daily [or at least twice-weekly] journal, as well as millions of pictures [probably literally, im a madman with a camera, haha.]

The time this will take will be immense, but once all is said and done.. it's going to be my dream car.
