HGV / Bin Wagon Air Brake Tank

Anyone know what SWP an air brake tank is?

Also what thread are the holes? I don't think they're BSP as the pitch is too fine.

The air brake system will be 10 bar ish working pressure, So the tank will be plated at more.
I will have a look at a tank on Wednesday.
As for the threads most are now metric fine.

There is no plate on this one I have salvaged. Metric fine any idea size? Looks possibly M16?

Not sure, possible a Seddon Atkinson? It was a bin wagon though and had four smallish tanks underneath.

Seddon/iveco yes that will be metric, so just measure the hole dia, I have a load of fittings if you get stuck

i work for meritor, they make all of volvo lorry brakes and the tanks we used to make ran at 13 bar max pressure bit that wasn't the max rated pressure, just the pressure that was required afaik

Steam cleaned the tank at work today and discovered this label:

I'm guessing that should say 14.5bar not 4.5bar?

Iirc that a hydraulic connector size. I needed one to block off a oil feed port on a Landrover engine
