Hi all,
I have been repairing arc welding and cutting equipment and systems for the last 33 years and still enjoy it. Yes I know I'm weird.
I found this forum some time ago but never really had time except for the occasional lurk.
Until last year I had always worked as a national engineer for the likes of Oerlikon, Hobart, Messer Geishiem and SAF/Air Liquid (through their main independent service centre). Then I got made redundant.
When I heard this was in the offing my wife said "You have been saying you have wanted to go on your own for years. You are getting older, nows the time. Either put up or shut up!", so I did, start that is.
I've been going for a year now and loving it. I should have start ages ago. I'm not making a fortune but who is in this climate, just ticking along.
I'm now finding time to do things I like such as contributing to this forum.
I hope I can be of help.
Best Regards, Richard
