Hi all - I myself am not a welder, however i deal with welders everyday.

I work as a Resource Management Specialist.

I have joined with two intentions however one i may not be allowed so will need to speak with the sites admin.

1. To inform any of you of potential jobs in the shropshire and birmingham area.

2. If the above fails perhaps just pick some of your brains when i get a job spec i do not understand. Eg today i am looking for a fusion welder... no idea what that is.

Welcome to the forum, I think some would find value in knowing of any positions going, but as you rightly point out, admin will advise on that and how to go about it.

Hi and welcome. And sorry - we don't allow job advertising on the forum just at the moment.

No idea what they mean by fusion welder - to me that's a welder that melts bits of metal together, and that's what we are all about so it doesn't really offer any clues. I'm sure someone will know if it's become an industry term, otherwise you'll be speaking with the pen pushers in HR - worth asking the client about what it is they want the welder to do.

You may not be able to advertise jobs here now, but theres nothing to stop you reading the posts and getting to know the members.
As for fusion welding, i`m with malcolm, any form of welding is fusion welding.
The defination of fusion is to join two seperate items into one
