Hello all, been browsing this site for while since I stumbled upon it and what a friendly bunch you all seem. I've been welding for around 20 years on and off and am currently looking for a new (bigger) machine to replace my Butters 211, hence my browsing. Love the accidends thread by the way, very amusing, some seem all too familiar though, bring back a few painful memories! I've compiled a machine shortlist so I'll post it and see if anyone can recommend which one to go for.

Hi Snowcat, I'm in Trowbridge, not too far from all cannings, I used to get my steel from Devizes Steel out at Horton which is quite near. They've moved to Sells Green now so it's much nearer to me, very nice bloke by the name of Ken Stokes, he'll cut any amount for me, big or small and he's got a guillotine which cuts 16mm plate so he's my new best friend!
