This is Andy Vevers from York. I'm working on my 79 VW camper. It needs attention to rust in window frames and a top half respray.

Been lurking in the welding section for some time. I've had a Clarke 100E for a few years now but it's always been pretty crude until last week when I bought an auto helmet which makes a phenomenal difference.

However it's the painting section I'm most interested in right now.

Hi Andy, there's at least a couple of members here well into their VW thingy's so will be interested to see any photo's you have and am sure if you need any guidance with the painting it will be forthcoming

Welcome. I'm working on my Clubman Estate project and have just resprayed it with acceptable results, probably excellent results from a bystanders point of view but you always are much critical of your own work! Having said that, it's very satisfying and there is plenty of advice on here for all aspects of car projects.
