Hello all. I came across this site and forum while looking for welding advice for a car restoration project. I've never welded before but I figure I'll get plenty of practice on a 30 year old car that has spent all its life in a salty, humid climate.
I figured I'll jump into this head first so I bought myself a Hobart 140 MIG welder. I haven't used it yet but I intend on getting a feel for welding by starting with building a car rotisserie. The rotisserie doesn't have to look pretty so I I'm hoping to make as many mistakes as possible before I get to the welding on the car.
Hopefully, I can learn the fine art of welding and create some cool projects.
