Hi folks, I'm the latest addition to your forum here so thought I'd say hi before having a stumble around the site.
I'm no newcomer to welding by a long shot, but currently as a retired mechanical engineer and currently studying for a degree in marine science, my year 2 project demands I design, produce and analyse some scientific research survet equipment.
I thought it best to join a forum where I might get advice when needed, and also be able to use the experience I do have to share with others.
Well, time to go browse.......

Couldnt agree more, your mech eng experience (as opposed to the young guys with book learning and no experience) could be very interesting to a lot of us. Theres plenty of help and advice available round here and theres no such thing as a stupid question.
