Hi from darkest Derbyshire...

Hi all,

I've been lurking for a while, reading up on tools and projects and stuff. I thought it was time I showed my face and joined in properly! I can weld - sort of, but need to practice again because its been a while since I did any.

I have a couple of welders, an Aldi (stop sniggering at the back) arc welder and a SIP130 MIG (okay you can laugh now). Just need to sort out my garage to make a better workshop before setting out on my first project - probably a trolley for the welder inspired by some of the ones on here.

I look forward to sharing my progress with you...

That'll be Bolsover, usually fairly dark up here



Forgot to say, I'm an electrical engineer by trade and I'm also lucky enough to be a Landrover owner, so I should have plenty to do in terms of chassis welding

Bowzer eh? Clay Cross here Lots of Land Rover projects on here, I just helped a friend's lad to get his Series IIA going again but he put his tub on a brand spanking galvanised chassis. It would have cost him more in wire and gas from the look of the old one .

Yes, I've been looking at some of 'em. There's some fantastic work on here

My own babies are a '68 Series 11A swb with "chassis issues" and a '96 disco with the usual problems
