Hi All,
Seen i've been reading here for a couple of months I figure I should introduce myself and thank everyone for the interesting and useful information that is posted here.
My better half asked for some garden beds to be made, I decided it would be an opportunity to give welding a bash on more than a few play around sheets i had done at friends places.
I've actually managed to aquire two units during the process....
I did all the right things first up and got a good brand name MMA welder, BOC Smootharc 130. Then did all the wrong things with the MIG and that's a cheep Chinese thing off ebay
All things said though the MIG ain't a bad little unit, had a friend of mine give me the basics on setting up and running MIG and after a couple of hours I think i was turning out mig welds better than 20 hours of using the stick.
Couple of pic's attached of some of the work i've done so far.
In the photos the RHS is 50x50x1.6mm, the flat bar is 20x3mm
