Hi from Inverness

Just bought an MG Midget to strip and restore, anybody else in the Highland area doing something similar?

i used to visit Inverness every two weeks for shopping when i lived in Scotland,

40 miles north of Inverness, just before tain.

i remember one day me and the other half went into M&S. the weather wasn't bad, little grey, no rain etc.

came out about 30 mins later to heavy snow lol

was crazy !
but hey hello from down south...

PS i remember a friend up there was restoring a midget,
got one of his friend's to fire watch while he was welding underneath.
the guys misses came out to watch, and started to talk to his other friend,
distracted him from what he should of been doing.
until they both see the car on fire lol

Anywhere near Tarbat Cottages?

was a little village called Balintore on the east coast.
has a little beach and harbour for boats etc.
i use to go out in boat to fish for cod, mackerel etc and do crab pots too

bigger beach on adjacent village called Shandwick

My wife's gran, uncle and cousins live in Bonar. We were up just before Christmas.

Welcome to the forum. I spent a fair few years in Nairn but haven't been up for a while. Good luck with the midget and don't forget to post progress!
