Hello all, firstly let me say what a fantastic forum and place to find great advice and tips on all sorts of topics. Just bought a Thermal Arc 175TE for use on my current projects. Never TIG welded before so will see how it goes.

hi kida, a therml arc lad, got a 181i here again,just started having a go on the tig, lovin it, easy aswell, just like old age gas welding.

Cheers, should get gas on Friday and have a go over the weekend, will let you know how it goes.

yeah if youve used gas you`ll find it a tad easier , I think it helped me anyway !

I have but that was 20 odd years ago, been nothing but MIG since then. I have read loads of great stuff on here so should be easy, not haha
