Hi everybody, I live more or less full time up a dirt road in the wilds of the Portuguese Alentejo. Just retired! Been stick welding for years but still learning. Made all the bits, mild and stainless for the boat I built in the back garden which got us here and cruised Morocco, Madeira and the Azores without anything I made breaking.
These days I make odds and sods, the big boat's sold so I've made a rowing boat pontoon for the river, fixed the local goatherd's tractor, pickup, dairy etc., and I play around with my bikes- just building a sidecar outfit from an old Suzuki 1500 and a Russian sidecar (lowered and hacked about with a vague military look). All on a very limited budget so lots of scrap involved!
On here to learn and contribute as much as I can.
