I'm in Ketton. Yes, Rutland Water is a great spin on the mountain bike.

We camped there and went round it on a pair of folding bikes, the trail was not that hard that it needed a mountain bike. It's a nice ride with good scenery and we visited relatives in Wilbarston while down there and Oakham is handy for the shops as well.
