TIG is also a possibility for the future, as I am an apprentice at BAE and should be welding some Aluminium sections. Looking forward to many joyful years of welding!

Angusdog Well-meaning amateur Messages 724 Location Wellington, NZ Dec 5, 2011 #4 Beetles (and minis) should come with a MIG welder as part of the standard tool kit, next to the jack and lug nut wrench. Welcome - don't be afraid to put up pics!
