hows it going my name is chris from ireland im 22 still in college doing automobile tech, and doing part time security, i am currently saving for an air compressor as i have and always had a big interest in bodywork and spraying just never had the money for the setup, i have a vw caddy mk2 project which i will be prepping and spraying , and will also need some metalwork which i was going to get somebody else to do until my friend recomend i learn mig welding with his help, i always wanted to learn welding but thought it would take years to be able to weld , anyways iv plenty of questions and should be on the forum often

Welcome Chris, Read the posts as much as you can if you have not got a welding set yet, there is good guidance on what will suit you and yes you should learn, you will get a lot more pleasure from the restoration if you do the welding as well...also burns, ruined clothes, maybe arc eye, annoyed, bad tempered, fed up...etc etc but it's all fun and part of the game.
