Hi new(ish) learning as I go

Hi all thought I'd introduce myself, been lurking for a while thought I might aswell sign up. Being welding up a mini over the past year or three and currently putting a nissan motor in it. I'm also looking for someone around this neck of the woods that could maybee tig up an alloy manifold for me is there a traders area or anything as local company's are either stupidly expensive or not interested in a small project like this. Any help would be greatly appreciated, and thanks for a great forum which has greatly improved my mig welding

Hi thanks for the welcome i tried to upload a photo but it appears to not have worked! so ill try once more.

Heres my car with my manifold mock up with empty fire ext. Im planning a plenum chamber set up and bolting the original throttle body to the end of the plenum


My problem is that the original manifold drops down and to far back in to my bulkhead/subframe etc


i was hoping to get a whole manifold set up as one piece as i dislike using silicone hoses on my inlet tubes but due to cost it looks like im going to have to go down the silicon route with 90 degree elbows up to a steel plenum that i can make. My new problem is i need round tube to clamp hoses too and in the next photo you can see the difference in size/shape.




As much as id love to learn tig welding (went to night classes a good few years back) the need to use an ac tig for the alloys makes it an unviable option as well as my timeframe.

Thanks again and all opinions & recommendations are greatly received, and if anyone is able to point me towards either an individual or a company that would actually be interested without shocking my wallet into hiding, i get enough grief for how much i spend on projects it would be appreciated
