please be patint as i am new to all this but has anyone used stiching on cast iron i have done some reading u p on it and per heating will be hard as it is at least 3cwt so the wifes oven is out of the question:
A decent sized pepper pot on the oxy propane is a good starting point, and also packing the job with dry sand will slow down the cooling as this is usually when the job will crack.
