Thanks to all the contributors, I've managed to fix a few machines and learned a heck of a lot. Good to see a forum that doesn't disparage new members or make negative assumptions. Keep up the good work Malcolm!

You`re so right; it`s a smashing (and friendly) forum, both to learn and enjoy our shared interest in welding and metalwork.

Certainly will, half way through repairing an inner arch - hopefully can post some pics of half done with a hobby welder and half with the Portamig
