I have been looking at this forum for a little while and have found it very informitive. I have just ordered a Portamig 185 from weldequip based on good reports on this site. The reason for buying the mig is that i have two land rovers to weld up and i have had enough of arc on thin plate
I am hoping that the low amp settings of the Portamig should make this kind of work a lot easyer 
I was taught to weld in the first year of my apprenticeship but only arc and gas.I have owned a 150 amp arc welder for years.I am also thinking of buying a ac/dc tig welder in the near future.
